We also provide Home Helpers for busy homes. This is a unique service and should not be confused with cleaning-only engagements.

Every home has its own rhythm, and the technicians at Necessity Cleaning will work with your unique needs to create a cleaning and disinfection experience that is truly personalized to you and your family.
Note: Our recurring visits are set up on a weekly, biweekly (every 2 weeks), or every 4 weeks pattern so they line up consistently with the Gregorian calendar we use for scheduling and payroll. A 3‑week rotation does not divide evenly into the calendar year, which makes it difficult to keep a stable day and time for your appointments, creates gaps and overlaps in our teams’ routes, and complicates billing and staffing. For that reason, we don’t offer every‑three‑weeks service and instead recommend either every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks, which fit cleanly into our scheduling system.
Are you moving? We do staging cleans, move in cleans and move out cleans! You don’t want to be scrambling at the last minute, so call us ASAP to secure your booking to coincide with your move.
HOME HELPERS
What are home helpers?
The role of our Home Helpers is designed to provide support in the home to busy families who may need more than just cleaning. Our Home Helper technician comes into your home and gives you an extra set of hands for routine tasks, while you remain the primary caregiver of your children. They assist a parent in running the household and handling the routine tasks in the home,
What home helpers ARE NOT
Our Home Helpers are not babysitters. You will remain the primary caregiver of your children, while our Home Helpers attend to the rest. The responsibility for supervising, entertaining, or tending to children, remains with the parent. Home Helpers function more like a light housekeeper or personal assistant whose work indirectly supports the parent’s ability to care for the children.
Our Home Helpers are not Personal Support Workers. We do not provide personal or medical care of either adults or children
how can a home helper can help
We will work with you to create a scope of work that fills the void. Getting to those tasks that you just can’t keep on top of.
Examples may be: laundry, tidying, putting groceries away, basic meal prep (sous chef tasks), etc. We are there to assist a parent in running the household and handling routine tasks, but do not take responsibility for supervising, entertaining, or tending to children, even with the parent present.
Typical tasks (excludes child care):
Light housekeeping: doing dishes, wiping counters, tidying common areas, picking up toys, taking out trash, light vacuuming or sweeping of specific areas.
Laundry: bed stripping/making, washing, drying, folding, and putting away family laundry, including linens and towels.
Meal-related help: simple meal prep, chopping vegetables, assembling salads, preparing snacks, making easy lunches.
Household organization: organizing closets, kids’ play areas, restocking diapers/wipes, rotating seasonal clothes, managing simple storage systems.
Errands: quick grocery trips, pharmacy runs, post office, picking up click‑and‑collect orders, returning library books, delivering small parcels, etc.
Basic household administration: fetching mail, updating family calendars, preparing school forms for you to sign, online order returns, simple list-making and planning.
Pet-related tasks: feeding pets, refreshing water bowls, cleaning litter boxes or spot-cleaning pet messes, short backyard let‑outs. We do not offer full dog-walking.
We do not offer: supervision of children (even briefly), no diaper changes, no feeding, no putting children down for naps, no bath time, and no being left alone with the kids. This keeps the role clearly separate from any form of childcare.
