The difference between cleaning and disinfecting is very important:
Cleaning refers to "the removal of dirt, grime, debris, and germs. Cleaning doesn’t kill germs such as viruses and bacteria that make us sick. But removing them lowers their numbers and the risk they can infect us."
Disinfecting refers to "using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This must come after cleaning."
The good news is this changes almost nothing for us at Necessity Cleaning. We've always used tried and true cleaning products the provide disinfection. When you combine that with our structured cleaning regimen with high energy and thorough cleaning techniques, you have a winning result.
Our cleaning process using HealthCanada and EPA approved products will leave your home or business not only clean, but disinfected too. We put extra focus on high touch areas and areas often forgotten during day-to-day cleaning.

Our Story
After a long career with a multinational technology company, Kelly sought a way to combine doing what she loves while stepping into the world of entrepreneurship, and thus Necessity Cleaning was born.
With encouragement from family and friends she began to build a customer set that includes a variety of residential and commercial clients, all with unique needs. Providing, as a starting point, a standardized cleaning regimen that can be further tailored to suit various family lifestyles and business environments, she has built a solid foundation for delivering service to both recurring and one time cleaning engagements of all types - residential, commercial, and post construction.
Kelly believes in creating strong relationships with her customers. Communication is key when providing such a personalized service, and she is open to adjusting services to ensure complete customer satisfaction with every cleaning engagement. Transparency is also important, and Kelly regularly encourages client feedback in her quest to deliver "5 Star" service every time.
The COVID-19 pandemic has proven to be a challenge for Necessity Cleaning just like many other small businesses. Given that this service requires a certain degree of intimacy within a space, the decision to suspend cleaning services was made in late March 2020. Kelly felt morally obligated to partake in the battle against the Covid 19 by answering the call to #stayhome and #flattenthecurve. All unopened PPE was donated to Southlake Hospital in Newmarket for the frontline workers taking care of our community.
While closed we used this time to develop a Covid-19 protocol intended to keep clients and staff save, while adhering to provincial and municipal public health guidelines. Kelly believes in science-based cleaning and looks forward to continuing to provide existing and new clients with trustworthy, reliable and thorough cleaning and disinfecting services in the weeks to come.
